The Unofficial Reunion Website
If you are looking for the Huddersfield Choral Society Youth Choir
website, this is the wrong place.
This website is an attempt to build a complete electronic archive
of the youth choir.
It was inspired by a small number of people who started listing
themselves
on www.friendsreunited.co.uk,
in the teams and clubs section.
 |
This quickly grew into a plan to put together a reunion
of as many original members of the choir as possible.
When we say 'original members', we mean both the founder
members, who were there in 1986 when it all started, and
those that join subsequently and helped to build the Huddersfield
Choral Society Youth Choir
into one of the biggest independent youth choirs in Europe
in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

News
September 2005
It's been a long time, due to time constraints of work and problems
that David 'Weasel' Kennedy had convincing people to get together
for a reunion but we have an update on the site. David Crowther
has very kindly put together some notes on the early history of
the formation of the choir (see about). Many thanks David.
July 2005
Due to a spammer, the guestbook has been closed for a while, but
it's open again for the time being.
More programme and concert details have been added,
but there are still some items missing.
HOT STUFF - A Recording of the 5th Anniversary
Concert has been discovered. If possible, this will be transferred
from it's current magnetic ferric oxide format to an electronic
binary format (from tape to cd or mp3 ! ). This could then be
made available by special request.
Details of the album recordings back catalogue is available in
the galleries section.
Comprehensive concert listings can be found in concerts section,
along with a top hits section in the music section.
The website is starting to grow day by day and we now have a list
of most of the concerts performed, lists of people who were in
the choir, newspaper cuttings, programmes and tickets, guest artist
details and other pictures.
Special Request
Do you have any programmes, tickets or
newspaper cuttings from concerts?
We would like complete the galleries for these - please get in
touch. If you have any thoughts, ideas, pictures or other things
you'd like to see included on the site, please let us know.
Thanks
